The Responsibilities of Our Merchandisers

As a merchandiser, you will have several unique responsibilities. These may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Travelling to various retail stores (such as Walmart, Staples, Shoppers, Rona, and more) for initial setup and periodic visits
  • Installing Point of Sale systems
  • Laying out products to fit a planogram
  • Completing inventory counts to ensure inventory levels are accurate
  • Maintaining a professional working relationship with in-store management
  • Displaying and arranging products to attract shoppers
  • Maintaining and organizing displays and fixtures
  • Stocking shelves and ensuring the retail store stays ordered

Qualifications

The Requirements That We Are Looking for

While we appreciate all those who apply for our merchandiser role, we only interview qualified candidates. We want people who have the following traits and experience:

  • Retail or merchandising experience (we prefer at least one year of experience in either industry)
  • The ability to communicate with store personnel and leadership, as well as customers and other Devrew employees
  • The ability to make strong, logical decisions
  • The ability to multi-task
  • The drive to work independently with little supervision
  • A natural eye for visual presentations and displays.
  • The ability to pay close attention to details

Please keep in mind that in this role, you will be assigned to a region and will be responsible for working with certain stores throughout this area. You will be responsible for visiting all of the designated locations. It is imperative to have a reliable car or form of transportation.
